Hi Maddie,

I know that Bond don't use the gamsat at all if you have an undergraduate degree. Keep in mind they have a few requirements for entry so you might want to check it out, I don't know that much but yeah, you can look into it I guess, check out their info.

GAMSAT Discussion :: alternative to gamsat :: Posted by Maddie

Hi, I am writing because I find the gamsat selection process to be unfair and discriminatory. There is too much emphasis placed on how fast you can think, instead of the quality and complexity of performance.

The Gamsat is a five and a half hour exam. I have heard the most special consideration I would be awarded for my learning difficulties, is one hour extra time. This is not good enough for me to have a shot at getting into med. I can handle the complexity of the material, but not the time constraints.

Is there another way of getting into med?? Are there any universities that offer med that don't have the gam test as their selection criteria???

Is it possible to get into med having done further degrees like a PhD or some other sort of higher education? I think this used to be the case but I am not sure if it is anymore.

Also, does anyone know for sure that I can't get more than one hour extra time for sitting the test?

I really hope someone can answer my question because it just seems so unfair. I am a normal girl, I deserve a chance just like anyone else.

Thanks in advance,
Maddie.

GAMSAT Discussion :: Can’t do science section even though I have a science degree :: Posted by …

I have a biology degree (microbiology) and yet I cannot do the science questions, why is this? They are just so impossible! They word them in such a roundabout way and I hate calculations so much, is there any way I can get better at these questions within the next week and a half, before the exam? I've tried all the past papers but I always get real low scores on the science section.
