There are few options for low budget students. I am sure you could get some science textbooks in your local or university library. Here are some online
science review videos you can purchase them separately by topics, or just get the DVD package:
GAMSAT science review on eBay;
GAMSAT science review. It is quite helpful for students who do not have any science back ground.

Hi,
I am Permanent Residence of Australia and I have done Bachelor of Dental Science from India with the following grades:
1st year (Feb 2000) : 457 out of 800
2nd year (June 2000) : 437 out of 800
3rd year (Dec 2001) : 464 out of 800
4th year (Dec 2002) : 594 out of 1000
5th year was the Clinical Internship and I was awarded my degree in February 2004. So can you please advise me if I am eligible to apply for Graduate Entry into Medicine or Dentistry.
And I will be grateful if you could please advice me my GPA based on my scores listed above.
I was planning to sit for next available GAMSAT exam if I am eligible to apply for admission to your school.
Thanks

Here are 2 gold standard chemistry teaching videos:
GAMSAT General Chemistry;
GAMSAT Organic Chemistry. They are good for students who do not have any science background. They are designed for MCAT, good for GAMSAT.

Got it, thanks guys. I found that Griffith and and UQ are my best options. Griffith doesnt require a GPA if you have done masters and UQ takes into account your GPA for the most recent degree completed (Undergrad or postgrad). Now to start preparing !!

Thanks for the response, I have looked at the info booklet and they advise on contacting the medical schools directly as all med schools have different preferences. I guess the reason for the post is to see if anyone knows what institutions consider masters graduates. My Masters degree is a coursework degree.

I'm in the same boat as yourself and have looked into a few areas of study. They say a knowledge of first year college in Biology and Chemistry is very important. Even just for your own ease in recognizing the questions they're asking. Go to a college Library, sit your ass down and start to work your way through some of the main areas of science. Biology is a fairly simple subject to understand. Its a subject more about learning off than needing to interpret. As far as I know, School Physics is all you need. So borrow a friends book and a again just get down to work. For Biology work on the main areas. I wouldn't go in to too much detail but have an understanding of it. Also order some practise exams on line. You can get them on the gamsat web page. These are the only official sample questions. I haven't been able to find anywhere else that has any. I have a list of topics which I was given that were recommended. I'll post them up later. Good Luck. I hope this helps.

Ok...
First off, RELAX. lol. I remember being in your exact shoes a few years ago, and asking myself the same should I wait till next year questions.
I decided that my study prep had been rushed, but that I would use it is a dry run, to learn about my timing for the exam (OMG I cannot highlight how important timing is for this exam), and to get comfortable with the question style and the test day pressure.
Long story short, I ended up getting a 64, and am not in second year. If I'd waited till the next year, God only knows where I would have been.
Maintain the rage, keep focussed on the goal, and use every opportuinity to learn that you can.
J

You really need to read the ACER handbook for that kind of information.
www.acer.edu.au
The short answer is maybe.

depends on where you want to go, and the nature of your masters..... coursework or research makes a difference in some cases.
Read the booklet.... let us know what you work out.
