Thanks very much for your help. I am in the situation where I can only choose some of the subjects from one semester, so your second note is just the answer I was looking for.

I was just interested to see if anyone knows how many people take the GAMSAT each year?

They look at the most recent 3 years. If you have fails in this time frame, they must be included and count as 0 (which pulls down an average severely).

Have a look at the applications guide on the GAMSAT website, it has detailed information.

I just thought I'd add something else- if the last of the semesters you would include has more than the appropriate number of points, I guess you could eliminate the worst results from that semester..

You will have to use the most recent results, equating to 3 years full time. So just say you did 5 instead of 4 subjects each semester in the last 3 years, you would be using the most recent 5 semesters instead of 6 (if that makes sense). Think of it like the opposite of doing part time, in which case you would be using more than 3 calendar years, except you will be using less.

You can't just delete your worst subjects, unfortunately!

Have a good read of the application guide when it comes out in May. I am assuming that they still go by the most recent 3 calendar years, not the highest 3 years of study you have done.

Hope that makes sense!

Due to having a higher than normal study load in the last 3 years of my double degree, I'll have to drop some of my second-year subjects. Can I just drop my worst subjects or is there some rule regarding 'key' courses or modules?
Thanks in advance,
Matt
